 Ambrosia is an old Greek food or drink for the gods. This so called “Elixir of life” is an old oriental theme, the “fountain of youth”. People have the obsession of fear of altered body composition, skin changes, lessened cognition, low sex drive and other features that accompany aging, as well as the old dream of permanent youth. Ambrosia is a magic formula that maintains one in his best optimal healthy condition.
Aging is a complex process. It is unlikely to be solved by only a single drug. The last research proved that the use of a single (ambrosia) molecule doesn't give answers to the question of delayed aging. Read following examples:
- The nervous (ambrosia), Melatonin by oneself did not prove much improvement in preventing aging.
- The hormonal (ambrosia), Growth hormone used by oneself in adults to delay aging caused those who administered it to stay longer periods of intensive care and hospitalization than those received placebos. There was increased mortality with high doses of Growth hormone.
- The beverage (ambrosia), Reservaretol is in red wine. It by oneself increases Sirtuin activity, but not yet proved effect on aging.
- The enzymic (ambrosia), Sirtuin by oneself increases the number of cell divisions of a cell but doesn’t increase its life-span in order to prevent its aging.
It’s really difficult for one (ambrosia) molecule to have an influence on all the body functions that are served by a great number of biochemical reactions under the complicated interconnected control of both the nervous and hormonal systems and the effects of both systems are mediated through enzymes.
Hormones work with the store-house and its “inventory”, keeping the keys of the store of raw and fabricated materials. In executing their jobs, hormones observe rules that can't be changed by any one, these are:
- Store-house is provided all over the whole body and includes the macromolecules (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins), each of them can cause formation of the other and they are in actual exchange all the time.
- No one store can be depleted at a time and the needed material is received from many stores, so as to continue a certain inventory.
- No one door is allowed to open separately, and each hormone holds a set of keys that open many doors simultaneously.
To deal with hormones, the only option we have now is to accommodate the macromolecules to the new hormonal balance, until we better understand the relation between response of the cells to different hormonal orchestration.
