There are many groups of food that are organized by dietitians. Read following classification in two groups of food.

The first one is a group of food that produces acids. The other one produces alkalis. Human bodies are continually producing waste components. In fact, waste components are acidic. They are called toxins. It has been proved that toxins cause pain, tiredness and aging. And so, if you want to have more energy and experience less pain, you need to eat less acid-producing food. 

Foods that produce acids are carbohydrates and proteins. Such products as coffee, tea, soft drinks, sugar, artificial sweetener, flavorings and preserved meats are even more acidic than toxic. And pollutants, such as heavy metals, and pesticides are even worse.

To neutralize an acid you need an alkali. The chief foods that produce alkalis are vegetables and fruit, green vegetables, such as parsley, sprouts and cabbage.  That is why people should eat lots of fruit and especially vegetables. Raw vegetables and fruits are best. By the way, steamed food is much better than boiled, because it retains the vitamins and minerals.
