| Morning Exercises | The most important factor in a successful exercise or weight loss program is to exercise in the morning – every morning. Sometimes you may just be able to exercise in a 10 or 15 minutes walk, but it is important to try to do some physical activity very morning.
Reasons why you should exercise in the morning:
- It has been calculated that over 90% of people who exercise consistently, do it in the morning.
- Early morning exercising boosts your metabolism and maintains it elevated for hours, sometimes for 24 hours. That means that your organism is able to burn more calories all day long just because you exercised in the morning.
- Early morning exercising fills you up with energy for the day.
- Many people that exercise consistently find out that morning exercises regulate their appetite for the day and they are not as hungry and they make better food choices.
- Your body’s endocrine system and circadian rhythms adjust to the same time exercising and wakening. Physiologically, some interesting things begin to happen – a couple of hours before you woke up, and your body begins to prepare for waking and exercise because it simply knows it is about to happen. The reason is simple – you do the same thing just about everyday.
You gain from that in several ways: a) You feel much easier to wake-up. When you wake-up at different times everyday, it confuses your body and thus it's never really prepared to awaken. b) Your metabolism and all the hormones involved in physical activity begin to elevate while you are sleeping. In that way you feel more alert, energized, and ready to exercise when you do wake-up. c) Hormones prepare your body for exercise by regulating blood pressure, heart rate, and blood flow to muscles.
- The appointed time of every morning becomes something people look forward to. It is time they have set aside to do something good for themselves, namely to take care of their body, mind, and soul. Many people find that it is a great time to think clearly, pray, plan their day, or just relax mentally.
- Research has shown that exercise increases mental acuity. This mental acuity lasts four to ten hours after exercise.
- Exercise first thing in the morning is really the only way to make sure that something else won't push exercise out of your schedule.
- Sometimes it is difficult to find time to exercise. You simple can get up 30 to 60 minutes earlier to exercise. If necessary, you can go to sleep a little earlier. Besides, research has demonstrated that people who exercise on a regular basis have a higher quality of sleep and thus require less sleep.
- And the last one – you will feel great. So do it!
